HONG KONG, 13 June, 2026, Aerovision Technology Limited (ATL) has received a Merit with Credit award with a paper titled “An Intelligent Thermal Detection System for Air Transport Baggage and Cargo” in the prestigious CAD 2025/26 Paper Award of Working Professional Level.

The award was presented by the Control, Automation and Instrumentation Division (CAD) of The Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), and co-organized by the Institute of Measurement and Control, Hong Kong Section (InstMC HK) and supported by the Hong Kong Institution of Measurement and Automation (HKIMA) and Doctoral Society of University of South Australia Alumni Association Hong Kong (UniSAAAHK – Doctoral Society).
The CAD Paper Award is widely recognized in the engineering community, celebrating outstanding technical contributions, innovation, and research excellence in the fields of control, automation, and instrumentation. This event aims to enhance engineering know-how within these disciplines, and it is hoped that more young talent, potential engineers, technologists, and mature industry professionals will join the engineering community.
This award-winning paper highlights ATL’s ongoing commitment to pioneering high-impact advancements in aviation safety, specifically addressing the critical hazards associated with various flammable goods, including fertilizers, perfumes, and lithium-ion batteries. Also, delivering comprehensive thermal monitoring across passenger baggage and freight operations to ensure its safety by giving an early warning of abnormal temperature to prevent dangers from happening. Today, ATL’s Intelligent Thermal Detection Systems have been successfully deployed in Hong Kong International Airport across a wide range of operations to combat evolving safety challenges. The winning of this prestigious recognition from a coalition of Hong Kong’s leading engineering and academic institutions underscores the vital significance of ATL’s contributions to driving automation, public safety, and industrial innovation forward.
