[Hong Kong, 26 January 2026] Ir. Dr.Angus Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of Aerovision Technology Limited (Aerovision), was invited to speak at the monthly SpaceBiz Dialogues organized by OASA.

SpaceBiz Dialogues is a platform for professionals, space experts and space enthusiasts to discuss various issues and challenges in the space sector. The theme of this symposium is “Exploring Low-Altitude Mobility × Maritime Logistics”, a follow-up to the “Low-Altitude Economy (LAE)” session held last August. It explores how drones, air taxis and maritime transport can be integrated into Hong Kong’s future mobility.

His presentation focused on expanding the application scenarios of the low-altitude economy, especially how to integrate low-altitude economy with existing maritime use cases. It highlighted how to minimise public safety risks and operating costs while unlocking new development opportunities for the maritime industry.

Hong Kong’s low-altitude economy regulatory sandbox will soon enter its next phase — Sandbox X, featuring new elements of “extra”, “extended” and “collaboration”. This will create very different scenarios from the first sandbox and extend testing to cross-border operations and more fields.

The development of both low-altitude economy and maritime vessel operations relies heavily on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology. Aerovision’s “Intelligent GNSS Interference Detection System” continues to be applied across multiple scenarios. In the future, the system will cover maritime applications, enabling real-time monitoring of signal integrity for marine navigation, timely alerts on the impact of GNSS interference to vessel navigation safety, as well as mapping of GNSS interference areas and safe route planning. It will monitor stability of navigation signals and accurate positioning data throughout the journey.
