[Hong Kong, 23 April 2026], Ir. Dr. Angus Cheung, Chief Executive Officer of Aerovision Technology Limited (ATL), was invited to give a themed speech at an event organised by Dashun Foundation. With the topic “Enhancing Hong Kong Construction and Engineering Industry’s Understanding of Low-Altitude Infrastructure and Economy” the event shared professional knowledge and held in-depth exchanges.
The themed speech was hosted by Dashun Foundation. It aims to help Hong Kong seize the strategic opportunities brought by the low-altitude economy through professional knowledge sharing and cross-industry dialogue. It also helps further strengthen Hong Kong’s leading position as a smart city in Asia. In the speech, Ir. Dr. Angus Cheung analysed the importance of satellite navigation systems for low-altitude infrastructure. Hong Kong has dense high-rise buildings and a complex electromagnetic environment which can easily cause navigation signal interferences and errors resulting in positioning deviations and flight safety incidents. This has become a major obstacle to the implementation of low-altitude infrastructure and industrial development in Hong Kong.
To solve the industry’s safety challenges, Ir. Dr. Angus Cheung further introduced ATL’s self-developed “ Intelligent GNSS Interferences Detection and Monitoring System”. The system supports real-time monitoring of the whole airspace at high and low altitudes. It can accurately identify signal anomalies, send instant alerts to relevant parties to deal with the safety risks quickly. It suits low-altitude operation scenarios in Hong Kong’s infrastructure and engineering sectors, and provides reliable safety support for the development of the low-altitude economy and the intelligent upgrading of the engineering industry.
