[Hong Kong, 23 March 2026], Ir. Dr. Angus Cheung, CEO of Aerovision Technology Limited (ATL), was invited to speak at the seminar themed Showcasing Hong Kong’s Leading Capabilities and Adoption of LAE and Its Opportunities.
Co-organized by the Hong Kong Transport & Logistics Association and the Hong Kong Shippers’ Council, the seminar focused on the rapid development of the low-altitude economy and conducted in-depth discussions on the transformative value of drone logistics for supply chain models. It also invited industry practitioners to share their experience on adoption of cutting-edge low-altitude economy technologies, and collectively explored industry policies, technological advancements and commercial opportunities.
During his speech, Ir. Dr. Cheung shared how the low-altitude economy has evolved from pilot trials to practical implementation. He also analyzed the integrated application models which combine the low-altitude economy technologies with modern logistics and transportation, aiming to drive the steady development of Hong Kong’s logistics industry, improve its transport efficiency, reducing costs and time.
Nearly one year has passed since the official launch of the last Regulatory Sandbox exercise, which is set to enter a new phase named Regulatory Sandbox X. This new framework will expand to cover more complex scenarios including cross-border flights and people carrying aircraft, accelerating the rollout of innovative solutions from trial testing to real-world operation.
Ir. Dr. Cheung further introduced how ATL’s Intelligent GNSS Interference Detection and Monitoring System safeguards aviation safety. The system enables full airspace monitoring across low and high altitudes. Upon detecting abnormal airspace conditions, it delivers real-time alerts to operational parties and law enforcement authorities for timely responses to ensure operational safety. He also elaborated on ATL’s continuous comprehensive improvement and upgrading of the Intelligent GNSS Interference Detection and Monitoring System in recent periods, with multiple new core functions being added to further strengthen its airspace security protection capabilities.
With the advancement and application explorations of the low-altitude economy driving continuous improvements in logistics efficiency, ATL will leverage its robust technological expertise to provide full-range support to safeguard the operations of the shipping and logistics industries.
