Hosted by the Logistics Policy Committee (LPC) of CILTHK, the summit was successfully held at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU). Focusing on modern logistics in the Greater Bay Area with the core themes of “Green, Smart, High Value-Added”, the event brought together industry leaders and experts, with support from the PolyU Business School and Shipping Research Centre, to discuss key issues for the future development of the logistics industry.

In his speech, Ir Dr. Angus Cheung focused on the practical directions for introducing low-altitude economy applications into Hong Kong, and how the integrated development of low-altitude economy and logistics can make logistics and transportation in Hong Kong more convenient and efficient.

In the development of Hong Kong’s low-altitude economy, regulatory sandboxes are used to run tests in controlled application scenarios. These tests allow for the optimization and improvement of different application scenarios and projects, verify the technical and commercial feasibility of relevant applications, speed up the launch of products or services, and reduce the upfront costs of development and project rollout.

As a high-density city, Hong Kong’s top priority in promoting the integrated development of low-altitude economy and local logistics is to ensure the safety and reliability of airspace operations. The GNSS Interference Monitoring System developed by Aerovision plays a key role in meeting this core requirement. The system supports detection applications across a wide range of areas and scenarios. When navigation signals are disrupted, it can immediately provide alerts and all relevant data to operators, regulators and law enforcement agencies, so that they can take corresponding actions to ensure flight safety.

Faced with the urgent need for transformation and upgrading of Hong Kong’s logistics industry, the low-altitude economy well fitted with the green and efficient development concept of modern logistics and transport. Coupled with the rich application scenarios of local logistics and transport in Hong Kong, the development prospect of low-altitude logistics is bright. Aerovision achieved a precise balance between transport efficiency and flight safety with innovative and leading technologies and is fully committed to promoting the healthy development of Hong Kong’s modern logistics industry.
